Coach Sergio has 2 years of coaching experience in the valley’s recreational leagues and 1 year of competitive soccer in the San Diego Presidio League as a Dynamo coach. As a player, Coach Sergio is a Dynamo alumni who won the Presidio League in the AA, AAA, and Premier level in 3 consecutive years and was also a 1998 State Cup finalist. After Dynamo, Coach Sergio went on to play in the collegiate level where he received the Most Valuable Player award in 1998 and again in 2003 after returning from 4 years of military service. Coach Sergio’s goal is to use soccer as a tool to teach the youth important values such as commitment, teamwork, perseverance, character and passion. Coach Sergio believes he learned many life lessons with the help and guidance of his soccer coaches and strives to pass that on to today’s youth. Coach Sergio is a married father of three, including one current Dynamo player and one future Dynamo player.
